Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to your burning questions.

Yes! Our pickles are made fresh and fermented the old-school way, so they need to stay cold. Keep them in the fridge when they arrive and they'll stay crisp and delicious.

Our pickles stay fresh for up to 4-6 months when kept refrigerated. But let's be honest...you'll probably eat them way before that!

We want your pickles to arrive fresh and cool. Because we ship with ice packs to keep your pickles cool on the way, and we don't want them sitting in a truck over the weekend, we only ship out on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you place your order after the pickup on Tue-Sun, we'll ship the following Monday.

We ship your pickles in insulated packaging with ice packs to keep them nice and cool in transit. They might not be ice-cold on arrival, but no worries–they're safe to eat. Just pop them in the fridge as soon as they arrive.

Our pickles are made to handle a bit of travel. If they arrive slightly cool or even room temp, they’re still good—as long as the jar is sealed and the pickles smell fresh. Just refrigerate them right away. If something seems off, reach out—we’ll make it right.

Absolutely! We make our pickles in an allergen free facility.

Yes. There are absolutely no animal products in our pickles.

No. It's actually the undissolved minerals and bentonite clay from the Real Salt we use which was harvested in an ancient sea bed in Redmond Utah. That's part of what makes them taste sooooo good.

Calcium chloride is a natural mineral salt that's totally safe to eat (also used in tofu, pre-cut leafy greens, and cheese) that keeps the pickles nice and crunchy.

We use a small amount of sodium benzoate to help keep our pickles safe and fresh, especially while they travel to you. It prevents mold and bacteria from growing, so you get the same great flavor we pack in the jar. We’re careful about everything we use—sodium benzoate is FDA-approved, widely used in natural foods, and only added when absolutely necessary. We’re always exploring cleaner, more natural alternatives as we grow.

We want you to love your pickles! If anything arrives damaged or doesn’t taste right, shoot us a message within 7 days of delivery. We'll send a replacement or refund—your call.

The best pickles are refrigerated pickles, which makes them more expensive to ship. We pack your pickles in insulated packaging with cold packs to make sure they arrive at your doorstep as cold as they were intended to be. If you order 6 or more jars, the shipping is on us.

For now, we're only online–shipped straight from our facility to your fridge. But stay tuned...we're dreaming big!
